SOKOA, A GROUP
Since its creation, SOKOA has compromised on an active policy of financial participations – most of them are minority participations- so as to put into practice one of the company’s principles, that is to say local economic development.
35 years later, this represents both direct and indirect participations in more than 200 companies, which has contributed to the creation of around 3,000 jobs in the Basque Country.
From the nineties onwards, SOKOA has taken profit from its growth to purchase European companies related to its profession.
The external development policy’s aims are to reinforce the company’s know-how, to increase the ranges of the products manufactured, and above all, to expand to additional complementary markets.
SOKOA ‘s allows its branches to enjoy an important self-management for the brand to be preserved whilst the managers get involved in the company’s capital.
In 2007, the group’s turnover is around Euros 80 million with a staff exceeding 500. The group wants to keep on developing progressively calmly and safely in the field of professional office chairs and in the sector of facilities – fitting out of places attended by people – as a group at a human scale.
