NF ENVIRONNEMENT and certifications
The seats in the Azkar, Tela, Wi-Max, Tertio, Alaia, Lander, Amets, Kyos, Klik and Smash programs are NF Environnement certified.
- Guarantee of quality and durability of the furniture (strength, durability, safety, compliance with standards ...)
- Limitation of environmental impacts throughout the life cycle (energy limitation due to materials processing, absence of heavy metals in products finishing, marking to facilitate recycling, etc. ..)
The certified characteristics are available from the FCBA :
Legal / regulatory or normative information
" The products present, under normal conditions of use or under other conditions reasonably foreseeable by SOKOA, the safety that can be legitimately expected and not endanger the health of people ".
The SOKOA range certified by NF Environnement does not contain "extremely worrying" substances with a concentration higher than 0.1% mass / mass, within the meaning of the REACH regulation.
Upon request and as part of the NF Environment certification, we can provide you with all useful justifications in this area.
Retained class when the chair is exposed to the important risks of accidental ignition. (example: room with significant number of chairs, buildings with presence of naked flames or big number of smokers, buildings occupied by people with unpredictable behaviour or by people with reduced mobility)
The chair passes successfully tests to the cigarette (C) and the gas-burner simulating the flame of a match (F).
Retained class when the chair is exposed to the medium risks of accidental ignition. (Example: room with a low number of chairs, spaced chairs, absence of naked flame, of flammable products, radiant or incandescent electric radiators…)
The chair passes successfully tests to the cigarette (C) but not the gas-burner test simulating the flame of a match (F).
Class to avoid in contract environments.
The chair don’t pass the cigarette test (C) so it fails (E) in relation to the ignitability.
Regulatory requirements concerning establishments’ open to the public and in particular seats in rows.
Concerns components (wood, metal, plastic)
Concerns stuffed chairs : the AM18 regulation (in effect since april 2008) is complementary to the M classification with the NF D 60013 standard that only concerns tests on fabrics. Our WAP-AMETS-KYOS-MAÏTENA-FLIPPER-SMASH ranges can have a special certified NFD 60-013 finish on request.
Regulation for High Rise Building
Regulatory requirements are based on calorific potential (the number of calories a seat releases when burned). This figure must be less than 400 ml per m² (MJ) mega joules). Our design and R&D department is able to calculate and confirm the calorific potential of our seats by covering if necessary, in 24 hours.
WARNING! exchanging the gas spring or any work in this area can be dangerous and must be carried out by specialised personnel.
All our chairs are made according to manufacturing standards: seating manufactured under ISO 9001 quality standard and ISO 14001 environmental management standard; Standard number NF-EN 1335 1-2 and 3 for task chairs, and NF-EN 13761 for visitor chairs.
However, for certain destinations (IGH - High-rise buildings - or for chairs placed in rows in establishments open to the public -) the seats are subject to specific regulations. It is the responsibility of our customers to inform us of the intended use of the product to take into account any regulations.
It is the responsibility of customers to inform us of the intended use and the applicable regulatory and / or normative requirements.
